Sorry if I am on the wrong page but I have never used a BB before. Running SETI 7.0.64, Windows 7, and keep getting to the end of a work unit, then get message Computation Error every time! Do I disconnect from SETI@HOME and try again, or is it a problem you are aware of, what is the fix?, (if there is one keep it simple thanks).

You are running SETI@home Enhanced v6.03 tasks with BOINC 7.0.64 on windows 8. ;-)

WRT to your computation errors: your tasks are exiting with status 196 (0xc4) EXIT_DISK_LIMIT_EXCEEDED.

So, check the remaining space on your disk and your preferences for disk size settings (Disk: use at most _ GB; Disk: leave free at least; Disk: use at most _% of total)

Gruß,
Gundolf

Thank you. You appear to know better than I do what I am running. I will look at the details and see if that solves the problem. Thank you again, Malcolm.

Message 1374034 - Posted: 31 May 2013, 6:43:29 UTC - in response to Message 1373493.

Hi, I have checked my details and I have the following.
use at most is set at 250 GB, the leave at least is set to 20, and the use at most is 80%.
I am using a partitioned HD with 2 x 250 GB, I have 'free' 35.9 GB.
I do not normally have this problem when running S@H, could you suggest what I can adjust please.
Regards, Malcolm.

My first guess would be: set leave at least to 5 GB, and the use at most to 90%.

There should be a line in your BOINC event log (ctrl+shift+E) like
26/05/2013 12:22:02||Disk: 29.98 GB total, 2.54 GB free
and further down
26/05/2013 12:22:02||Preferences limit disk usage to 1.86GB
(those are values from my laptop)

Gruß,
Gundolf
