seti@home isn't running v7 at the present time. You'll need to make sure you tick the "seti@home enhanced" in you Account Seti@home preferences. I assume you have the optimized apps installed. Astropulse v505 or v5 are no longer available. AP V6 is available but you are less likely to get them than the v6 s@h enhanced WU's

So if I understand you, I can only get GPU wu's?

No what I am saying is that you appear to have NOT checked the Seti@home enhanced on your preferences. You may receive AP WU's but I am not aware of your setup. If your app_info only allows you AP's on the GPU then, yes you'll only get GPU work.

Not knowing how you have your app_info setup leaves a few blanks in the info.

Did you indeed set the app_info to allow s@h enhanced on your cpu and GPU?

if the answer is yes then you need to do what I explained before and change your preferences in the seti@home preference section of your account page. When that is done just update BOINC and it should see that you want seti@home enhanced work and will supply you with work

Have you got SETI@home v7 set to 'yes' too? try setting that to 'no' as you won't have a Seti MB v7 app mentioned in your app_info yet,

Yes, that's because of your app_info.xml file. When you use an anonymous platform file, it doesn't matter what you set in your project preferences, as the entries in the app_info.xml file will override the project preferences. Through the app_info.xml file, you tell BOINC which applications you're going to use.

(Despite what others here have tried to tell you... )

So the app_info.xml file is where it's wrong.
Please do as asked, and post the contents of it.

Miklos M.

Your host 6653993 (FX-8150) has only been setup for doing CUDA.

Your host 6199498 looks like it needs the optimised app updated as it isn't setup for doing AP v6 but why it hasn't got any work at all I don't know and host 4464872 also needs the same update done.

Personally I'd just download the latest 32-bit and 64-bit Lunatics app's and run them on all your machines which should fix your problems.

Cheers.

Found Boinc, but no Seti@home, etc. The other programs, like Primegrid and Einstein are still running fine.

The BOINC data directory is hidden by windows. So, you'll have to tell the windows explorer to show hidden files/directories.

Also, the startup messages will include the exact path of the Data directory.

App_info.xml controls what applications you have, so what you can crunch. It also tells the server what type of applications [AP/MB for CPU/GPU] are present.
The server settings can be then used to restict work to a subset of these applications, e.g. GPU only, no AP etc.

Either something went very wrong with the installer or you failed to select CPU/GPU MB applications on the first screen [i.e. you must have actively delected MB for CPU]. I would rerun the installer and make sure all the correct apps are picked i.e. the AMD app for CPU and the CUDA MB app.

you can also post app_info.xml for us to pick apart, but personally, I'd just try a lunatics reinstall.

although if you don't know where app_info.xml is I think it is safe to assume you didn't edit it [thus introducing errors], leaving us at with an incomplete install.

App_info.xml controls what applications you have, so what you can crunch. It also tells the server what type of applications [AP/MB for CPU/GPU] are present.
The server settings can be then used to restrict work to a subset of these applications, e.g. GPU only, no AP etc.

Anything you set about the CPU or GPU use, or which applications to use, at the the Seti project preferences will be ignored when you use an app_info.xml file. Through the anonymous platform file you tell BOINC which applications it should use and thus on what hardware it should run.

Here... I just set:
Use CPU no
Run only the selected applications SETI@home Enhanced: no
Astropulse v505: yes
SETI@home v7: no
AstroPulse v6: no
If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? no

Then did a scheduler update:
07/06/2012 12:00:31 | SETI@home | [sched_op] Starting scheduler request
07/06/2012 12:00:31 | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
07/06/2012 12:00:31 | SETI@home | Not reporting or requesting tasks
07/06/2012 12:00:36 | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed

And see... did it matter?
07/06/2012 12:01:36 | SETI@home | [checkpoint] result ap_03jl11ad_B0_P0_00174_20120604_09069.wu_1 checkpointed
07/06/2012 12:01:36 | SETI@home | [checkpoint] result ap_06dc10aa_B0_P0_00358_20120604_05013.wu_0 checkpointed
07/06/2012 12:01:38 | SETI@home | [checkpoint] result 26no10ac.23798.14800.14.10.177_1 checkpointed

And somewhat later:
07/06/2012 12:23:32 | SETI@home | Computation for task ap_03jl11ad_B0_P0_00174_20120604_09069.wu_1 finished
07/06/2012 12:23:32 | SETI@home | Starting task 26no10ac.27055.20935.13.10.188_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 in slot 2

06/06/2012 23:57:02 | SETI@home | Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform

The only thing it will follow is the amount of work you want for said applications set in the local or the global preferences.. But not if you want to use the applications or not, that's done by editing the app_info.xml file and adding apps or removing them.
