49998.37 I am reaching 50000 Credits today. I have been crunching since 1999 using all kinds of equipment in my quest for E.T. I have learned more about the world and people in it since the start of SETI2. There are a lot of great people here and of course some buttheads, But most realize we are all connected for a common goal. I am proud of being part of SETI and wish all peace and happiness! |

There are a lot of great people here and of course some buttheads ========= Congratulations from a ButtHead ... ;) I would have been over 50,000 Credits here a long time ago but I went over to the LHC Site & put up 60,000 Credits over there, I'll probably hit 50,000 Credits myself here today or at the latest tommorow now that I've turned my PC's towards Seti again because LHC is going to shut down for a month or so... :) |

Ha ha.. Every time I switched to other projects I felt guilty and came back I would like to do more but SETI will always be near and dear to me. Thanks PoorBoy |

I too would like to do more. That is why I have this desire to get more computers so I can crunch more numbers. Of course, then that won't be enough because I would know I could do more more more with newer, faster, sleeker machine, and more of them. Then, the next day when tomorrows hardware is out of date, I will want even more newer and faster machines. I think I'm a seti addict. > Ha ha.. > Every time I switched to other projects I felt guilty and came back > I would like to do more but SETI will always be near and dear to me. > > Thanks PoorBoy > |

I have been part of SETI around about the same time, and I can't think of a better way to spend my CPU cycles. They are out there somewhere. As for Peace & Happiness, that would be nice. 50k, huh? Very cool. It'll be a while before I tick over that much on this old iron. |

All my puters I have scraped together from carcasses of dead units I buy an occasional HD and Memory but never owned a new one. I would love a new powerhouse machine that I didn;t need to bail together. |

> I would love a new powerhouse machine that I didn;t need > to bail together. Man, you an' me, both, Timmy. My quickest machine is a 1 GHz P-III that has seen much upgrading over the 4 (5?) years I've owned it. It started life as a K6-III 400 and just about everything in the case has been replaced at least once by now. Still, I'm happy enough with it. I'll probably run this one till it drops. I'm at ~19,000 S@H credits and overall I should break 28,000 today. Could be better, could be worse. Sure was surprised to actually see my S@H ranking go UP 19 positions today. I suppose I can thank LHC@home for not sending out much work. ;) I see you're already over the 50k mark. Keep crunchin'. |

50k is also my next target. Still only a little above 40k but I feel better with such a huge credit ... comparing to my friend which started today and we found already after 15 minutes of running BOINC and SETI@home that his memory module seems to be malfunctional. We are doing test of which one, replace them and he will continue to get any credit biger then 0 where he is now. ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD! Potrebujete pomoc? My Stats |

> I felt great about my credits untill I saw the guy with a million credits LOL! That borders on the ridiculous, doesn't it. > Geeze it must be a full time job just to take care of all those units! No kidding! That guy's definitely got some iron under his dominion. |

Well I am comming up to my 10K credit for me!!! Too bad I did not start Bonic sooner cause I joined the first week of November 04 and was running the Original SETI up to that point. My question is how the Old SETI work units are going to be added into our credit, if it does?? As of May I put in 10,389 units in that transistion ,May 2004. But kepted running up to 12,668 units to the first part of November. Maybe they might base it on the total CPU hours?? Anyway I just like crunching! Clint Team: I SETI Once, I'll SETI Again! |

When classic shuts down you will/may/should have your classic totals recorded against your username, but they will never form part of your BOINC total. |

I have only recently switched from SETI Classic to BOINC. I have been stuck on 997.65 for the last couple of days. What does it take to get my 1st 1000!! I think i'll have to track down everyone that is still crunching the workunits I have completed, and give them a friendly message in their ear! Long-live SETI. |

Congrats, Timmy. That's a lotta CPU cycles for the cause. Best, Robert |
