It is still in pre-release alpha, they have just upgraded the server side and are working through the issues. They have been issuing WU to the alpha test people for a little while now and are still working on the scientific side. The people involved are people closely associated with LINGO/GEO or selected alpha testers. Once this phase is conplete they plan to add a limited number of more general users. As they say watch this space. 73 de Peter VK3AVE |

I'm guessing, but I was under the impression that Pirates simply was a testing ground for BOINC operations whereas E@H had an entirely separate Alpha/Beta program for the science side of the project. |

I was really hoping to get invited to help out with the beta of einstein, I registered ages ago but didn't get asked :-( But goodluck to all those involved, should be a very interesting and worthwhile project. Well, don't feel bad, it's not even a beta right now. It's an early Alpha test at the current time... way pre Beta. They seem to be adding people daily now, as well... so don't give up hope. :-) Rob |

Today I was invited for the alpha-test of Einstein@Home. Very nice screensaver. I emailed them months ago to say I was intrested... For the moment I'll only throw in 'one' box (the slowest) just to see how it runs. Grtz ;-)) |
