I reinstalled Boinc and attached to SETI@hime. When The computer asked for new tasks, I get this message;

" 3/27/2011 9:27:57 PM SETI@home update requested by user
3/27/2011 9:27:57 PM SETI@home Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
3/27/2011 9:27:57 PM SETI@home Requesting new tasks

3/27/2011 9:27:58 PM SETI@home Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error

3/27/2011 9:29:33 PM SETI@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
3/27/2011 9:29:33 PM SETI@home Requesting new tasks

3/27/2011 9:29:35 PM SETI@home Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error

3/27/2011 9:33:50 PM SETI@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
3/27/2011 9:33:50 PM SETI@home Requesting new tasks

3/27/2011 9:33:54 PM SETI@home Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error"

I don't know what this means or how to correct it.

Please help and Thank You.

Which of your hosts has that problem? This one did connect at 27 Mar 2011 | 22:39:59 UTC.

Currently, the splitters are hanging, so there are no new tasks anyway.

Gundolf

I have had this problem for a number of days, but only on my work (employer's) system.

3/29/2011 7:43:39 AM SETI@home Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
3/29/2011 7:43:39 AM SETI@home Reporting 1 completed tasks, not requesting new tasks
3/29/2011 7:43:40 AM SETI@home Scheduler request failed: HTTP service unavailable
...
3/29/2011 7:49:28 AM SETI@home Started upload of 12mr07ac.16384.15205.15.10.60_1_0
3/29/2011 7:49:30 AM SETI@home Temporarily failed upload of 12mr07ac.25663.196502.14.10.121_0_0: HTTP error

Has my employer closed some port?

You should ask them that question. We have no way of knowing.

[Edit] Since BOINC uses the standard port 80 and secure port 443 for all web traffic, there's a high probability that they have not closed a port unless you can't surf the web at all.

We also assume you have their permission to run BOINC/seti on their computers
