Hello All,
I have a problem.....

I use a common profile for my 4 computers, no difference in their BOINC settings, all are set for 6 days before connect time and all keep several days of work in Que.

My problem is that 1 machine had been keeping several days of work in Que but now it only has the file that it is working on.

I have reset the program and continue to only Que the WU that it is working on. It almost never requests additional work.

What is strange is that this machine was "normal" a week ago.

Why has it changed and how do I correct it so that it will store additional WU's in its Que?

Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

I assume (dreaded word there) that the problem is only one one machine? All of the others have work as normal. Have you tried update? If you do update, does it tell you no work available? What messages do you get when you try update?

More descriptive information helps ... Since you have the computers available in your profile ... which one is it?

If you are talking about the 400mhz computer, one workunit may be all it needs for 6 days. Especially if that computer is turned off at night.

Additional information for those who can help.....

It is the 400 MHz Gateway and it processes a WU in about 13 hours so it completes almost 2 WUs per day.

I have the days to connect set at 6.5 and the other three machines keep adequate WUs in Que.

This machine did store in Que many WUs until 5 days ago and then it quit requesting additional work. Normally it had 10 or 12 WUs in Que until last Sunday.

When I select "Update" it goes out and connects, and reports it's connection as successful. It also updates the status numbers on the Project page.

The only issue is that it does not request additional WUs as it had in the past.

The only option that I know of that has yet to be done is to completely uninstall BOINC and reach out and do a clean reinstall.

Honestly, I have not had a problem, but if the Berkley servers go down for any reason, this computer may run out of work as it did last night. Prolonged outages need to be avoided if possible.

Any ideas would help!

Thanks again,

Are you sure you didn't disable network access by mistake?

Hi Timmy,
No, I did not make the selection you quizzed.

I think I have corrected my error, this machine was set up on a Work profile for some unknown reason. The Work profile had a low days to connect number in that block .1

Everything is back to normal and it is downloading as usual.

Thanks again,
