I read on many threads that the benchmarks on P4HT are quite low. Id like to ask the people with such CPUs - are the benchmarks higher if either HT is disabled or in preferences of the client is set to use only one CPU (under 2k/XP/2k3)? |

I haven't tried turning HT off, but here are my stats... 3.2GHz P4 HT Intel D915G Motherboard 2 Gig PC3200 DDR RAM 200 Gig Seagate Barracuda SATA HD BOINC Benchmark Results: --- - 2004-10-29 08:37:39 - 1375 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU --- - 2004-10-29 08:37:39 - 2592 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU http://www.setiusa.net |

2.6GHz P4 HT Northwood MSI MB 512CL3 PC3200 DDRAM 1189 whet per CPU 1729 dhry per CPU I don't have results with HT off but I remember when I switched it off it did 1 WU about 30% fater but only 1 not 2. So HT is performance gain anyway. And to finish, I do the exactly same on Athlon64 3200+, 1 WU for 1/2 but in the end the same WU count on both boxes after 24 hours. ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!
