Yeah!

Boinc works!

New discovery made from the Arecibo data!!

Home computer finds rare pulsar

The Einstein@Home volunteer-computing project makes its first discovery

This is a great find that nicely demonstrates how the unexpected can be found that would otherwise be missed by the 'professional' observatories. OK, so it might also be called sifting through the data on the cheap and not of interest for the 'professionals', but it is a good find and all the more so for being unusual.

It is certainly significant enough to hit the headlines in the foremost science journal, Nature.

One small step, and what next?

Congratulations to the E@H team and all round to the development of Boinc!
