Hi all,

I just added my laptop to my account but BOINC won't download any WUs. The only problem I see is that the BOINC client is returning I have 0 MB of free BOINC disk space. My preferences are set up just fine (use up to 5 Gigs, and up to 50% of available free space) and I did not have this problem with my first two computers that are running BOINC w/o any problems. Any ideas how I open up free space on my laptop so that WUs will download?

I'm running 4.09 on my two desktops, but 4.13 on my laptop. Could this have anything to do with it? Any info will be appreciated.

On average, a new client can take up to an hour before it starts to d/l WUs.

Leave the laptop alone on the network for a bit (not in standby or sleep mode, of course) and it will eventually grabs some WUs on its own.

Stewie: So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway?

Thanx--yeah, I just installed BOINC and so I'll just be a little more patient...

98SE XP2500+ @ 2.1 GHz Boinc v5.8.8

And God said"Let there be light."But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer.

Make certain that "leave at least __ RAM" is set to something attainable on all of your machines. NOTE that the Home/Work/School venues do not work for some settings.
