can we assume that any outstanding pendings which were run under boinc 3.xx will not be resolved? regards Z <img src="http://www.boincstats.com/stats/banner.php?cpid=e16795c0df46cd9701574ad087f14cf9"> |

Again, just guessing, if they are doing as Matt said, and running the WU (or some of them at least) through both SETI@Home Classic and SETI@Home Powred by BOINC ... well, they have the science results that they need and will not have to process them again. If they want a fire test (on the other hand) this is something that they could use to kill the back end processes again. :) My best guess is that they are dead and we will not see them revived. Then again, the queue has not been emptied fully ... so there may still be some in there lurking for us ... |

Hi Rach, dont worry when the WUs are ok you will get credits. I have WUs since July that dont get credits, but they should be sent out again. When the third valid result comes in credits will be given. greetz from Germany Mike With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

I am only guessing. But there are strong words by the BOINC team that there are going to be cases with BOINC where you will process work but will not earn credit. We can be grumpy about it, but it is not going to change. I can hope that with the process now working as planned and seems to be fully caught up that there may be an effort to go back and "clean-up" those outstanding WU. But my best guess is that they will not from the perspective of the science that they are trying to do with SETI@Home is not dependent on getting a result for each and every work unit. |
