Boinc 4.13 is working great here. AMD XP2500+ on Win98se

98SE XP2500+ @ 2.1 GHz Boinc v5.8.8

And God said"Let there be light."But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer.

Currently running 3 different clients, 2xP4 and 1xPIII, all using Windows XP SP2. So far it works fine. All my problems using 4.09 are gone (uploading WUs)!

I've been running Boinc CC v4.13 for well over 24 hours without any computational or upload problems on SETI or LHC.

My platform is an AMD Athlon XP 3100+ (1.7 GHz, NOT overclocked, with the Via Chipset), with Microshaft Win98SE, IE6 and all current security patches.

Cheers,

Stephen

Have had no problems with 4.12 or 4.13, running on P4 HT, Win XP SP2.

However it is generally considered that each upgrade fixes bugs rather than creating more. Even if it does mean sacrifices are made to overall performance, the program should be more stable.

Release 4.13 is no winner. I can detect very little improvement over any of the preceeding releases. What is the problem with no schedulers responding. One of my machines has no problem uploading and downloading WU's, another (at the same time)has not been able to even upload 5 completed WU's for many days.
Both machines are running BOINC 4.13 & Windows XP SP2 .

No schedulers responding is a problem on the server side and is not dependent on the version of the software running on your machine. In general, if there is a heavy load on the server side you may see this effect.

You can also see it if your computer is having problems connecting to the internet. You can test this, obviously, by making sure you can get here ... :)

If you can, then, you have to see if others are having the same problems ...

I just checked and I did get a connetion to the scheduler ...
