A very long day for Sunday....

The Forums are a Social Community. That has Good and Bad.

I no longer post to Seti forums for many reasons (unless it is technical and that is sad). The first is there are users that have their own "agenda." It is NOT Seti's Purpose or Agenda, it is personal (only you truly know why)... Another reason is that there are so many things that you do not know. That frees me from what you do not know. It means that I am unbiased and have no opinon and can Moderate YOU (anyone)!

While watching this I see many things that fall outside Seti's Purpose. So while it currently it falls within Seti's rules for moderation. You get a break

So while Mark has been moderator'd for violations of Seti's Rules (without details). Be carefaul what "you" ask for. You just might get it!

While this may seem hard for most to hear, I have no compuction about moderating or starting a BAN Vote for any Seti User (although there is benifit of doubt, that is what moderators are for). You say it, then it happens. Be Careful where you tread. Take this anyway you want it, most will (negative). Have a nice evening.

So that gives you the right to threaten people when no bannable items are currently in view in the thread? I think not.

Talk about overbearing and threatening....

I was merely commenting on something thread Op himself posted...its fair game.

But then again----as you are a mod--I find it interesting that you are hijacking the thread with threats of bans publically.

But you constantly remind people how because you're a large cruncher that you do deserve more respect than others in what you post?

And thankfully there are many here who consider me a friend, and are willing to grant me that favor. Even if they don't agree with all of my statements or opinions.

If you feel threatened, that is not mine to own. However, you found your way here to point something out that YOU felt important and "opinions vary." The fact that users can post "opinions" is important (as long as they stay within the rules).

So the fact that the thread is still active shows "restraint and consideration" on many users parts. It is a discussion, the moderators know that. I am not sure what you missed in my post or why you want to make this "personal." The Users are doing okay (opinion) other than a Red-x (Thank You) that notified the moderators. That means serveral of us look to see what is happening. Some may make comment for whatever reason.

I care not that someone red-x'ed it--that is their choice. Making comments is one thing--openly threatening bans because you feel like throwing your weight around is something else entirely.

I also don't think this would fit with the Admin's stated stance of less modding from the mods.

1. a feeling of uneasiness or anxiety of the conscience caused by regret for doing wrong or causing pain; contrition; remorse.
   
   
2. any uneasiness or hesitation about the rightness of an action.
   

Presumably you mean after a rule infringement, but it's not clear.

I personally have no problem with Pappa's statements.

You get outta line, you get modded.
You get outta line a lot, you get banned.

And I don't argue about it nearly as much as I did before the rules and the mod crew's attitude became more realistic.
