Hmmm... I checked Kepler.nasa.gov a few minutes ago, and there was no new news. Will have to watch both sites for news from now on.

They can't find planets in Earth-like orbits yet, but they can find hot planets. Those planets will complete an orbit around their host star in a few days. ____________

Yes, i suppose that's it really. They won't be speculating about anything in case they give off the wrong impression. They will only be making major announcements about planets where they have concrete evidence that the planet passed in front of the star several times. But it would be cool if they said; "By golly gosh, spiffing good news, we can confirm a transiting star with Aliens waving back at us!" John :) ____________

"By golly gosh, spiffing good news, we can confirm a transiting star with Aliens waving back at us!" Correction "Damn! After further study - they weren't waving. They were "giving us the bird"! LOL

Being aliens, it is of course possible that the raising of the middle finger (presuming they have fingers) is a greeting, the way the wave of a hand is to us. :-P ____________ You will be assimilated...bunghole!
