I know this is a well worn issue, but Ive not been able to track down a solution. It's likely an easy fix, so please pardon my linux rookieness. Im attempting to get the Boinc CLI going on a Fedora Core 1 box. Im following this (http://noether.vassar.edu/~myers/help/boinc/unix.html) primer, including using the init.d script it mentions. After marking the boinc script as executable (+x), Im getting this error: [boinc@home salvatore]$ sudo /sbin/service boinc start env: /etc/init.d/boinc: No such file or directory Ive verified that /etc/init.d/boinc does exist, is executable, and is owned by the boinc user. Other than that, Im lost. Any suggestions? -- .salvatore blatherings - http://www.sienar.org/ general nonsense - http://www.palmisanonet.com/ psn radio - http://www.palmisanonet.com:9875 |

I thought it is /etc/rc.d/init.d/? Anyway I would just cd to /etc/rc.d/init.d/ and do ./boinc start from there. Then use chkconfig to add the script to the start up services. |
