I tried CUDA the day it came out, ran fine for a while (few days), then had issues (driver resets, snow on the screen, etc). Went back to CPU crunching, until now.

Opted back into CUDA today, currently crunching one AP unit & one 6.03 unit on the cpu and one CUDA unit on the gpu, and all is fine! (so far...) No, I did not mod any files, it is running 3 on its own.

EVGA 9600GT KO running at 66-68 degrees with fan at 54%. 'CPU time' after 12 units is about 4:30, but 'To completion' is 26:30 with this card.

Running 181.22 drivers
Vista HP
Pentium D @ 3.6
4 Gig memory

So far about a dozen cuda unit have past without problems. I am off to bed in a little while, will see how things look in the morning, keeping my fingers crossed!

Let me know if you're able to download new CUDA based units with the CPU crunching going on.

Let me know if you're able to download new CUDA based units with the CPU crunching going on.

I would expect the 6.03's to be those that were already in the cache when CUDA was re-enabled so there is no surprise that it is crunching both 6.03 and 6.08 at this time. What will be more interesting is if it will download more 6.03's while CUDA crunching is going on. That would really demonstrate the stop forward.

Apparently they have changed something, I'm running a 6.03 & a 6.08 & Climate Prediction all at the same time. It downloaded 6 6.03's & 19 6.08's at the same time, so the issue is fixed I guess?

Ok, so I just got up. It has crunched 28 more cuda units perfectly without a problem. It has finished the 3 'old' 6.03 cpu units. Currently the cpu is working on an AP unit and the gpu is working on one unit.

However, it has not downloaded any new cuda units, I only have 10 left! I have it set for 5 days of extra work. Currently there are 4 AP units showing, one is progress three waiting. It normally takes about 70hrs to crunch on but I aborted a few earlier and not it is telling me they will take 115 hours to complete. I have a feeling the long time to completion of the AP units is causing it not to get any new cuda units.

Yesterday when i tried to get cuda units it would not get any, once I aborted 3 AP units it downloaded a TON of cuda units. I have a feeling if I do that again I will get them. I might also try to adjust that (number i forget the name of that helps tell the system how long it will be to completion).

Still not problems so far, very very happy!

Adjusted the duration factor, it instally downloaded a lot of cuda units. Interesting though, soon after it shot right back up again? I am going to either have to opt out of AP or keep tweeking my duration factor when I get low on units. Time will tell.
