While I agree with your first link on fear mongering, the second one (about practicing martial law tactics), happened on Clinton's watch. Bush didn't take office until January 2001.

So I'm not sure where you are going with this. You seem to be trying to make one point by using two completely unrelated incidents.

I'm sorry to interrupt, But Marshal law has never been declared in the US, the Military is led by a civilian government and is sworn to uphold the US Constitution and protect It. As Marshal law would be a takeover from Civilian Government and that simply isn't possible.

Besides the US Military is very small and doesn't wish to make camps or what not like is mentioned in some of those stupid You-Tube spots, It's just peacenik propaganda. And some may be pics of a virtual border fence taken out of context down on the southern US Border w/Mexico to restrict illegal immigration.

Why don't they train the Army to do Border Patrol (on the Mexican Border) instead of training them for Subdivision Patrol? Give them something usefull to do.

Just what I want to see in my neighborhood is a bunch of 20 year olds with machine guns.

More outragious is the roadblocks and searches.

The Americans I grew up knowing would never allow this in their own country against their own citizens.

Of course, that could be false, because the Americans I grew up knowing are still alive and this stuff happened.

I have to assume all that "Give me liberty or give me death" "Don't tread on me"
"Land of the free, home of the brave" stuff was just memorized jingoisms and hold no real meaning.

I think most of my fellow USA'ers are two busy watching satellite TV to care. And many of us who have jobs have seen so many of our fellow workers terminated to cut costs that we just sit and wait for it to happen to us. We have more immediate concerns with basic needs so we don't see or don't care that our freedom is in danger. I would argue that we are not very free even now since we are for the most part slaves to our jobs. The army really has nothing to fear from the citizens yet, we are a bunch of sheep waiting for the slaughter. It will be interesting to see what happens if the economy really takes a dive.....

They still haven't allowed it to happen to themselves, but they are the ones making it happen to everyone else... ;)

(You can easily spot them, 'cause they are the only people prancing around 'care free' in 'arrogance', as they have always done.)

Naomi Wolfe seems quite concerned about the future of the constitution too.

You can also Google the "Ten Steps to Fascism" to get the list by Naomi Wolfe and compare it to what has happened of late in America.

Today it appears that there was a combined effort of major banks throughout the "civilized" world to band together to combat the credit crunch. Some may see that as good progress. Everybody working together to help get through the current mess.

I see shades of the New World Order. One world under God, Indivisible, with slavery for all. The Constitution will be abolished by the Banksters that head the New World Order. And the New York Times will be the only ones reporting about it. Until the Banksters cut their credit line that is.

The Constitution will be abolished by the Banksters that head the New World Order.

This won't happen, As the US Military and the US Government is sworn to uphold and protect the constitution of the United States of America. For the constitution to go away one would have to destroy the US Military and the US Government root and branch, Which has never been done and hopefully will never happen.

Since they have sworn in on the very book that condemns swearing, we should have nothing to worry about... ;)

You can also Google the "Ten Steps to Fascism" to get the list by Naomi Wolfe and compare it to what has happened of late in America.

You can also use it to see more evidence of Ms. Wolfe's partisan ideology and examples of why overly large generalizations are nearly meaningless.

Many, if not all of those "steps" can be applied to nearly any sufficiently large gov't, anywhere in the world.

Not to mention that the term "fascism" itself has become almost meaningless. Mussolini was a fascist. Nearly everyone else that term is applied to as a matter of discourse concerning those one disagrees with, is not.
Cordially,
Rush
