I had a machine signed up for setiathome (running Linux, but this does not really matter).

Should I just leave that machine in the database? Or should I merge it with another of my machines? Does the fact that the machines are (were) different make any problems?

I actually have only two, and one is not running BOINC at all yet, but that is a red herring.

Yes.

You can't.

It makes it impossible to merge those client's credits with another client.
