...

Last time I checked, neither a woman nor a black has ever won, or even temporarily held, the White House.

...

Might happen this time. The time may be right for it.

I think the citizens of the US of A are more ready for a black president than for a female president. That can come later, in an about 8 - 12 years time. (This based on the timeframe of the Black movements in the 60' to the Womens Lib movements in the 70') ...

Blacks only make up 12-14% of our total population...females, over 50% of our total population.

You will see a female President before a black

We will see. Still, I don't think this will differ from the historic development, where the Blacks got rights before the female population. A Black male might win before a female of any colors.

Now, even Palin is a woman, as Vice President she is without influence, she's ornament. Just as the other Vice Presidents have been ornaments. Have there been other Vice Presidents who ever came into office, and with this to power, besides Lyndon B. Johnson and Gerald Ford?

Perhaps you better recheck your history book. Women were granted national suffrage in 1920...Blacks were granted suffrage in the 1860's but were restricted from voting through various actions like poll taxing and intelligence testing and were not freely allowed to vote until the Civil Rights movement of the 1960's.

As far as the VP becoming President, that is the norm when the sitting President is incapacitated through murder, impeachment, etc, but not one time have any of those persons won the following Presidential election.

I remember that. Well, lets be correct. I know about that. I was born in 82 so I don't think I could "remember" it.

You just made me feel very old.
I still have some high school wrestling t-shirts in the bottom drawer that are almost a decade older than you.

Oh well...you know what they say..."The older I get; the better I was." LOL

Hey Don't feel bad. I just started college (at 26 yrs old). So everyone in there is 18 or 19. Running a business and going back to school is very hard. On top of that I'm close to the oldest in each of my classes.

From what I can tell it is all how you look at it.
