Looks like Bobby just blew a big gaping hole in your conspiracy theory, didn't he? |

Do you think this really helps his odds of being re-elected? He thinks it does, that's why he did it. He was grandstanding to the partisans in his electoral district. You know, takin' da hard lyne on Dubya an' all dat shizz. See this story in any newspapers? Yeah. Because he didn't have the proof, he didn't have the votes, and there was no political will to even try to overcome such insurmountable obstacles. Those articles were as stillborn as his presidential campaign--and he knew it. Cordially, Rush elrushbo2@theobviousgmail.com Remove the obvious... |

Corporations bobby. Is that such a surprise? I, like millions of others in the US, have formed a corporation at some point, and I currently work for another. A corporation is simply a legal entity that makes life a little easier when trading. I'd imagine one of the main reasons behind "corporations" owning media, would be to limit the liability of the owner from suits should somebody wish to sue over an article. For instance, if I were to set up a newspaper, I'd want to ensure that my personal computer, DVD collection, etc. were not at risk of being seized, so I'd set up a corporation to own said newspaper. Having said that a "corporation" is not the only means to offer some protection, and some newspapers choose a different route. The UK Guardian is owned by The Scott Trust, a not-for-profit organization, and I wouldn't be surprised to find that there are others with similar arrangements. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

I'm talking about the corporations the size of small countries, I know what a corporation is and the benefits of incorporating a business. My point, no matter how twisted by some here as some fanciful conspiracy theory is: Corporations pay off and buy politicians. Since one hand washes the other, the media will protect their horse. Free media, for all practical purposes, is dead. . "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss |

Corporations pay off and buy politicians. Since one hand washes the other, the media will protect their horse. And if that's true, then why the hell are you always trying to give those politicians even MORE POWER, taking that power the hell away from the individuals who have it now? Where is the sense in that? Cordially, Rush elrushbo2@theobviousgmail.com Remove the obvious... |

Free media, for all practical purposes, is dead. Apart from here? Or is that unseen hand at work across the internet too? There are alternative reasons Kucincich's latest attempt at impeachment may not be on CNN 24x7, for instance, namely that it's not considered particularly newsworthy and/or not of sufficient interest to CNN's viewship to warrant coverage. For reasons known to those at CNN, it currently seems salmonella bearing tomatoes, US beef sales to S. Korea, the likely effect of the current economic situation on house prices, Friday's stock market price dip, and Naomi Campbell's apology to 2 police officers she assaulted are at least of passing interest. Who knows? They may well be right. The story did make it to The Daily Show or Colbert (I forget which), but then the criteria used by those shows are a little different than say Lou Dobbs. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

I'm talking about the corporations the size of small countries, Their "horse" being President Bush? Funny, "protection" is the one thing I'd say the media has never provided him...in fact, I'd say they've gone out of their way to expose and exploit every character flaw the man has ever exhibited. ...but there I go twisting words again, huh? |

Free media, for all practical purposes, is dead. The internet is monitored 24/7, bobby, Everything you type, every email you send, every web site you visit, is logged and scanned. Remotely and on your computer. The internet is much more free but still... If article of impeachment were issued 60 years ago every paper would have printed it. Now we have a bunch of floozies on their payroll. . "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss |

Free media, for all practical purposes, is dead. Everything I type is remotely logged and scanned? Really? How does that work then? I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

You'd have to ask the FBI and NSA. I wouldn't expect an answer though. :D . "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss |

Everything I type is remotely logged and scanned? Really? How does that work then? Pretty much the same way it works when employers spy on their employees... only on a much larger scale... ;) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

You'd have to ask the FBI and NSA. The implication that people are being tracked when there is no reason to be wasting time, money, and resources monitoring their actions is basically the definition of wacko conspiracy theorist. |

Hi Jeffrey, I wonder how many will sign the article to impeach. . "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss |

I wonder how many will sign the article to impeach. Does it really matter now? The 'system' is already in place, and the goons are here to stay... ;) (The 'irritators' have won.) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

Still nice to have a little justice besides the kind we see on CSI. "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss |

Tell them what they want to hear, regain their confidence, proceed as planned... Repeat... ;) (Three steps forward, one step back... Repeat) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

You'd have to ask the FBI and NSA. As you're the one that said it I'm asking you. What's the evidence? I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

What's the evidence? If you're looking for 'material' evidence, it has long been shredded, or is out of reach... The reason I include the latter, is because I know how much they like their mementos... The only evidence remaining, is the evidence of their behavior... Which is usually just mental bullying, but push the wrong button, and it's 911 all over again... Emotionally insecure babies throw temper tantrums, emotionally unstable adults tend to do the same... ;) (What's the evidence that I'm 'wrong'? You can say it, but I'll bet you can't prove it.)
