How about Remagen? It will be 63 years ago tomorrow that US Forces secured the Rhine crossing at Remagen, thereby helping to shorten WWII. Admittingly only by several months, but look at the amount of military & civilian life that was saved because of it.

Why post 2 atrocities against civilians & those implicating US forces? What about atrocities against military personnel that were fighting to end a war thereby saving countless civilian lives?

To provide a balanced view, what about posting those? I can think of two straight away without having to use the surfers pal "The Wiki" How about Malmedy or Katyn Wood?
Malmedy
Katyn Wood

These men didn't expect to be massacred, they knew full well that they may die in combat, but they still fought to try & end the war. Were they wrong for thinking so just because they were military personnel?

Balanced view? Too many of those who post in this forum have no idea what that means. They see only their side and discount, denigrate or deny anything to the contrary. The US has made mistakes, and often takes steps either to punish those who made them, or to keep from repeating those mistakes, but too often the anti-American voices here paint a very one-sided picture.

Thanks for pointing out that America can and does do good in this world.

You're welcome. However, I'm not stating that the US is perfect, but I am really getting totally P***** off at those who cannot provide a balance. All of mankind is imperfect & ALL NATIONS on this planet have committed ATROCITIES (Historical Fact).

History is supposed to be able to teach us but all I can see is those using tainted excerpts from history to exert their own views.

In the animal kingdom, killing is a natural part of the food chain. MAN is the only species on this planet that kills for pleasure and/or profit.
