Supreme Court Justice Bill Clinton?
Posted: 11:52 AM ET

Would President Hillary name Bill to the Supreme Court?

WASHINGTON (CNN) — It is a title that would be sure to bring either fear or cheer to many Americans, depending on your political leanings: Supreme Court Justice Bill Clinton.

That provocative possibility has long been whispered in legal and political circles ever since Sen. Hillary Clinton became a viable candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination. Now a respected conservative law professor has openly predicted a future President Clinton would name her husband to the high court if a vacancy occurred.

Just another reason to fear another Clinton Presidency. The political system of our country is becoming inbred. Reminds me of the Burt Reynold's film Deliverance. Da da da Da da Da da Da da. Dueling Banjos.

He's been disbarred and lost his law license due to perjury which is why he was impeached.

Never happen.

From Wikid-Pedia

"Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on December 19, 1998, and acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999.

In October 2001, Clinton was suspended by the Supreme Court and, facing disbarment from the high court as well, Clinton resigned from the Supreme Court bar in November.

Clinton left office with a 65% approval rating, the highest end-of-presidency rating of any President that came into office after World War II.

And none of what you said contradicts anything I stated. His popularity rating is irrelevent as to the possibility of him being nominated let alone seated on the high court.

Well he wasn't impeached.

Yes, he was! Are you thick? Even Nixon was not impeached.

BILL CLINTON WAS.

And do you really think he would want to serve on the Supreme Court?
Not wild Bill Clinton. No way.
He's gonna party, right along with Bush Sr, and Bush Jr.
All perks of the Hegemony.
Not a lot of difference between Saudi Arabia and the USA.

The rest of your comment is unintelligible.

As far as the Supreme court goes, there are no requirements in order to be appointed a Justice, but all have been trained in the law. Many Justices served as members of Congress, governors, or members of the President's Cabinet. One president, William Howard Taft, was later appointed Chief Justice.

But Clinton, if nominated -- very unlikely since Obama beat Clinton tonight, Bill would have a rough time getting congressional approval.

Of course this is all pure speculation. My point was more that politics seems to be inbred with Bushes and Clintons getting more than their 15 minutes of fame. And a President Hilary COULD nominate her husband. But I don't think she will ever get that far so it is a moot point.

I remain sort of puzzled as to why anyone thinks that a new president of either party is going to "change" the political, social or global climates. No president has the power to "change" anything.

If you want "change," then you must purge Congress of its deadwood, as Congress is the problem, not the presidency. No president can force Congress to accept or implement innovative ideas. As long as partisan congressional obstacles exist, it doesn't matter WHO occupies the White House.

Not completely accurate Charles.

If the President is from the same party as the majority of the Congress, then things can most certainly get changed. Even if it isn't necessarily the best move for the general public.
