Message 443273 - Posted: 25 Oct 2006, 2:19:55 UTC - in response to Message 443270.

that is easy to work out and you dont need to be a brainbox to do it.

no not all things can be known, why? do the maths, one person used 10% right, so 10 people use 100% as a group, equal to 100% of one person. with 8 billion people on this plannet, and still, we dont know everything, but use the brain to fight and kill people, now with that level of intelligence, do you really think we could ever know everything there is to know?

i bet even the cavemen had more intelligence than we do today. on second thoughts, i have seen a few already today, ignore that last statement, i'll lose the bet, because the guys i seen today are on equal footing with cavemen.

The 10 people contributing thier limited knowledge only makes them slighty above average as a group maybe 14% Total. They all have had simular education some more some less...

Well, here I tried to explain why the answer is no rationally (with lessons in the currently accepted views of science and proof as held by practicing scientists and mathematicians) and along comes Sammie being a pessimist. So, tell us about these cavemen. Was one of them from E-stoney-uh, lol? (We call him "Link.")

Imagination . . .

. . . In this respect it resembles the argument of the pseudo-scientists that alien astronauts have already visited the earth, but have recognised that our civilisation is too immature to handle contact with them, so naturally there is no conclusive evidence of such alien visitation. Such arguments place themselves outside the positivistic realm of traditional experimental verification. Nevertheless, one must agree that the soul-building theodicy seems plausible from a philosophical point of view. We desperately would like to believe it. But this desperate need to believe what seems intuitively plausible has been the root of much confusion and error throughout history. It causes people, reputable scientists and philosophers, to latch onto an apparent harmony and then to fight off the hidden harmony. What is there to be said? Logic fails to apply in this case, and the question is left forever open.

ok look,
next door car is out side his house, the hood up and a jug full of water, see 2 minute job to fill the water tank right?
along comes another guy and sticks his head under the hood, and a few minutes later another guy comes and sticks his head under the hood. before you know it guys and comming and going and all looking under the hood. now you cant tell me that you guys can talk about a water filler cap for 5-8 hours, you gotta have a stripper under the hood surely.

Errr...Sammie..I hate to break the news to you but>>>whats happening under the hood (or more correctly ..what,s not happening under the hood of a car) is more interesting than what,s under a dress.

well i just cant see whats so intresting under the hood of a car, it's dirty, smelly, and makes your hands dirty too. so why spend so much time under there?
gotta be more to it huh?
i mean i know where the fuel goes, and where the stop start peddles are, anything else and i just call the guy from the AA and he comes and fixes it.

That,s the mystery and mystique of mechanics...A realm that men alone can experience and enjoy.

PS If the guy from AA didn,t spend that time under the bonnet ...how would he know how to fix your car?

ooo start my motor and it purrs like a dream, and the guys in the AA are good, not like the ones Greenflag send you, one of their guys kept putting his hand where it wasn't wanted, until i slammed the bonnet on his other hand, then he got the message. he also got sacked and i was given £500 as a form of redress for feeling at risk from one of their drivers.
ha ha he had a broken hand that was enough for me.
