How do I get the old style screen saver running again?
It refuses to connect and gives a half display on my PC.
I liked the old one and don't know why you messed it up.
I've had it on many PC's but now it doesn't work at all.

The old one would definitely burn in in your screen, since it was static. The new one moves so it won't burn in. But for the static better_banner.jpg at the bottom, perhaps. ;)

But ok, use the Classic emulation settings. See how that works out. And do know that using the screen saver, when using Classic and when using now, uses valuable CPU cycles. You may just want to shut down the monitor?

The new screen saver is using OpenGL, so make sure your videocard can do OpenGL 1.2 at the minimum at hardware level. (OpenGL 1.2 compliant)
Update DirectX and your videocard drivers if need be.

I ran the old program for a few years and never had anything burn into my screen. Perhaps this would be a problem with a primative monitor.

I do not want to see the wobbly graphic--it is difficult to read the data. I followed a link where it listed the settings to get rid of the wobble. Now I don't see the graphic, just a logo that floats around. I also tried the link you gave (above), and I got "Web Page Not Found".

Solution options:

1. Open BOINC Manager, Projects tab, Select Seti@Home, press Update.

2. Exit BOINC completely and restart it.
