They've taken an elegant, simple interface and turned it into a technology nightmare. Not only that but they're unable to copy data from one environment to the next, a classic IT faux pas.

Time, I think, to boinc off to another worth cause. So long and thanks for all the fish, guys.

I don't know, but I think calling S@H classics interface 'elegant' is somewhat of a stretch...

And as for copying data, you didn't follow instructions.

There was practically no interface in classic, and it sure wasn't elegant to my taste. BOINC would only be a technology nightmare for those who want to fiddle with everything although they don't know what they are fiddling with and don't want to know it, in my view.

What do you mean? Be specific, thanks.

It either worked or it backed off for an Hour.
There IS elegance in simplicity.
I myself like simplicity.
SETIC (the client) had proven itself as rock sold a peace of SW that ever ran under Winblows. If the problem was on your end. It was an add-on or HW. Not Seti.
I myself like rock sold.
There is elegance in rock sold to.
But SetiC is gone.
Let us remember the past. Learn form it, Rejoices in it. But move forward. I for one want to live in the present and look to the future.

The current S@H science app itself is rock solid. I can't recall having issues with it, even during beta. BOINC has the occasional glitch on some releases, but that's to be expected with something under continual development. But as a whole, BOINC is pretty solid too. The recent server issues can't be blamed on the client software.

As Matt L. has stated, he believes BOINC S@H has actually had more uptime than the classic project.
