Seems that we have taken an eloquently simple process and created more questions than answers. Just read through the Q&A and this is in clear evidence. Who's idea was this?

My Windoze machines seem to be working and processing.....

My linux computers used to steadily process the seti units now they don't and only GOD knows why.

Boinc is pretty easy, but then again, some people find AOL impossible.

What's an impossible?

(Note: The ratio of possible/impossible in this scenario is directly proportionate to the size and availability of hammers in the near proximity.)

For years I always thought that was spelt 'duct tape' - you know tape used on ducting. Am I wrong?

Why would you use tape on ducks? :)

'Duck' were/are a tape manfacturer, the name became a by-word for the kind of tape, like Hoover and Biro did for Vacuum Cleaners and the Ballpoint Pen.

other uses on ducks
"
We hatched a baby duck with legs curved slightly backwards. To correct this, I fashioned a fan-shaped piece from thin wood and taped it to the duck's foot with Duck(r) Tape. Duck(r) Tape is strong, adheres tightly and stands up to the mud and water the ducks play in."

We just call it MacGyver tape in our little race world. What else would hold the crap together on our race bikes, after we bash it around.
