I used to use SetiGate with multiple copies of seti@home commandline version running on multiple systems throughout a network. By 12/15, I won't have any systems except for one running BOINC. I currently have over 49k units completed. Because of the changes going on at SETI, I have no clue as to what my total number of completed units are. I was hoping ot hit my 50,000 goal by the end of this year. And, it looks like I won't be getting there any time soon. What I need is something that works with BOINC that does what setigate did. Any recommendations? Thanks |

Arnold you would get more help in Questions and Answers and the number crunching Forums. Please check them out. I understand not everyone is going to get it right the first time, But I am sure you knew the change was coming (Over a Year) Good Luck.... I used to use SetiGate with multiple copies of seti@home commandline version running on multiple systems throughout a network. By 12/15, I won't have any systems except for one running BOINC. Short answer Boinc does not allow external caching of workunits right now. That is what SetiGate does, allow one machine to cache units and give them out to other machines as needed. Long answer click on the links and ask the questions in the links in the other message. |
