I do have Credits as shown in my account settings on the website; however, even after Boinc communicates with the server to get a new WU or after restarting Boinc, or after trying a manual update, the Project Tab keeps showing 0.00 for Total and Average Credits.

I do have three computers setup, two on the Home location and one on the Work location. I do have separate Home General Preferences.

If I do have credits in my account, at what point in this process should they be recognized and then shown in the BOINC program?

I've read the online manuals and understand how the crediting process works.

Once or twice after starting Boinc earlier in the week I did see the credits in the program, but they got changed back to zero. Just wondering if I've stumbled onto a bug?

Thanks,
Mark H.

If BOINC has trouble communicating with the server ("Project down for maintenance" or "No schedulers responded" or maybe "No work available"), the stats on the BOINC Project tab seem to go blank instead of keeping the old values. Don't worry; the credits aren't gone. It's just not being displayed.

Once it has successfully talked with the server (Reporting units, Downloading units, not sure about Uploading units), it once again displays the correct stats.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I know they are there and they are assigned to this computer (host). My other two systems still show 0 credits but they haven't been crunching as long and the WU's they have worked on probably haven't been processed by other systems.

Maybe in a newer version it will save the values locally and display those until it gets updated values from the server. I might also look at some of the third-party add ons for keeping tabs.

I just now updated, and I got a new total of credits. During the recent period of no work, my credits would often show zero when I clicked "update" if the site was down. It may have been down the last time you tried to communicate.

Another explanation may be that, as has been reported on these message boards, some who have seperate work/home settings have been getting incorrect credit results, but not always. I'm not clear about the exact circumstances that cause the problem, but you can read some of these posts that talk about it.
