I installed BOINC 3.20Beta several days ago and it seems to be running - the 'work' tab works & the 'Messages' tab has messages - but I've not seen anything change in the 'Projects' tab. It just has 'Total Credit' 0.00 and 'Avg. Credit' 0.00. I haven't seen anything happen in the 'Transfers' tab either. Is that the way it's supposed to be? Thanks. |

Read the manual. You need to have 3 other people validate your results prior to being issued credit and it needs to be done within 2 weeks of receiving the data. |

You will be able to see something in the transfer tab only when you are downloading WU's. It is only when a transfer between your PC and the server is done that something is visible it this tab. Greetings from Belgium. Help Desk: use "Most recent answer first" sorting |

Didn't notice a manual. Perhaps a reference could be made to it in the sucinct readme.txt that comes with the download, or maybe even a link in the 'Help' menu or on http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/ Thanks! |

If BOINC has trouble communicating with the server ("Project down for maintenance" or "No schedulers responded" or maybe "No work available"), the stats on the BOINC Project tab seem to go blank instead of keeping the old values. Don't worry; the credits aren't gone. It's just not being displayed. Once it has successfully talked with the server (Reporting units, Downloading units, not sure about Uploading units), it once again displays the correct stats. The Transfer tab only shows transfers that are still in progress. It is not a log of previous transfers. Unless you happen to look at that tab during the exact time a transfer is happening, you won't see anything there. |
