Hi guys,

It's nearly 1 in the morning here and Kajunfisher is still trying to help me see mundayweb..

Hi Es99! :D

I like the poem in your profile. :)

Another mind-blowing fact is that our solar system is not the first generation "here". There have been at least one solar system here before us. How do we know this? Because heavy elements, like gold, can only be forged in a supernova explosion. It was probably a short-lived red giant, lasting only a few hundred million years, but still...

I also like to think about that where we "are" right now in the universe, we've never been before. The Milkyway galaxy is also moving in space... :)

Me too. I seldom go to bed until 4 AM. Then I sleep until noon... Also on workdays. Luckily I can show up on work when I want. LOL!

I love sitting in the night listening to some music and play some rounds of Mah Jong! Right now I'm listening to In the Plain by Savage Rose. I just downloaded it from iTunes. I have a lot of really good LP's, but I haven't got them digitalized into my computer, so I buy them, when I see them. And this one is a real gem, which I doubt I can find as cd, so when I saw it on the Danish iTunes, I downloaded it imidiatety! It' so good! I think it still stands even it's so old! From 1968!!! But the music by Anders And Thomas Koppel is so original, and Anissette's voice is so fantastic! I saw in some reviews, that Bjork has them as some of her main inspirations! I specially love Long before I was born, Ride my mountain(Jade), The shepherd and Sally, and A Trial in our native town!

Yes, I've just watched some TV and now I'm trying to find a good web site build tool for my work's new web site (www.frivillig-sentral.no). There are so many... I'll go for Open Source, since we don't have any money to spend on such a tool. phpBB and MyBloggie seems to fit our needs as a start, but I haven't decided yet. :) I've also considered full-blown groupware solutions like TikiWiki and Plone, but they're very technical oriented and difficult to install.

God fornojelse! And good luck! :-)

EDIT: Apparently this site doesn't support other letters than what's in the English language!

Hm - thanks, they are new to me. I have to check them out. :)
I don't use iTunes though... Used to download MP3's from mp3music.com - before they closed. So I have hundreds of non-protected MP3 files which I paid for. Rumors say Windows Vista won't let me play them. We'll see. :)
God fornojelse! And good luck! :-)

Takk. And a good musical night to you, Fuzzy! :)

I used DreamWeaver from MS to work on mine. It can be gotten FREE for 90 days if you just ask them. There is a link on their website for Beta versions of their programs, they sent me 2 cd's, full version on each disk, that had a 90 day expiration included. I used it and now maintain it with a licensed version that the Company bought.
DreamWeaver does not seem to be available right now but FrontPage is http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage/

Isn't Dreamweaver a macromedia product?

YES of course it is!!! BUT on that page you have is the ability to download a 30 day free trial. That means that you could download the program and use it for 30 days, while building your web page, and then stop using it and use a free program to maintain it.
And I did NOT know that it was being taken over by Adobe.

Dude, relax. No offence intended. I posted the info for two reasons. First, when someone says MS or ms they usually mean microsoft. I'd hate to see someone going on a wild goose chase looking for a program on the wrong company website. Second, I thought that those who use dreamweaver (my preferred web design app) would be interested in the fact that adobe is seeking to acquire macromedia.

Thanks for the tip. Although I haven't tried DreamWeaver for years, I have several other traditional web design tools - or HTML editors: Frontpage, Coffeecup HTML Editor, php Designer, Vcom Web Easy Pro, plus some others.

But there are a couple of reasons I think I'll go another route with this web site:

a) I don't want to force others (my workplace) to invest in tools that cost money. We are a non-profit organization with a tight budget (which is already used up for this year). Although I guess I could build a site within a grace period of 90 days, it has to be maintained later too... :)

b) I'd like to find a tool which is easy enough to use so that non-technical people can maintain the web site. The idea is that anyone with almost no learning should be able to edit text as in a word processor and then push a button to update the site. So a blog-like tool sounds as it can do the job.

(I seem to be awful OT now...)

Drifting off topic seems to be one of the effects of the discussed chemical :o)

[offtopic] You might want to look at NVU.
NVU Website
I haven't tried it yet but I plan to. [/offtopic]

Thanks, tekwyzrd! I downloaded an early 0.5 version ultimo November last year, but never got around to take a closer look at it. It was one of those times when you find something interesting on Internet, but forgets about it after download. I have hundreds of similar experiences (and files)... LOL I had actually lost this idea about looking closer at NVU, so thanks for the reminder. :) The timing was also great, now that they've released the 1.0 version at last.
