I downloaded and installed the BOINC-software for Seti@Home yesterday and transferred my account.
So far I already did this on the 2 worstations I use most often.
This morning one of them recieved data and started crunching away, the other one is still being deferred.
Is this normal or might I have overlooked some settings?

This definately could happen.

The BOINC/S@H client will try and access the server for work units every so often (often after 1 min, 10 min then hourlyish). If at that specific time the server was down or very busy (which they have been VERY BUSY) you may get bumped for another hour.

Some work units ARE getting through... so were heading in the right direction. So you can either sit back and wait and let the client try and connect (which it will keep trying to do)... or try the "Manual Retry" option (right click) - but this will only work if 1. there is work to send from the servers, and 2 they are not crazy overloaded.
