Shock Horror, Dr A is a human being with other interests!

Check out his (actually enjoyable to read) Web Page: David P. Anderson

I always thought that Dr A was an astronomer who was also a computer geek, it seems he is actually a techno nerd, his Resume and Publications

I noticed in one of the above links:
I am the sole inventor on two pending patent applications for technology related to MediaNet, a patent related to distributed computing, and a patent for an invention involving 3-D interactive television.

I believe I may have helped here, as a participant in Distributed Computing - I want my share of the money :)

Out of curiosity, do any astronomers actually get to see any of the results we crunch, or do they just see the re-observation units?

Do the astronomers tell Dr A what they want or does Dr A tell them what they can have (ie how is the science chosen)?

Sometimes I think we are alone in the universe, and sometimes I think we are not. In either case the idea is quite staggering.
