I've installed BOINC on 2 different systems and recieve the same error under the message tab:
"message from server: no work available"
"Defering communication with server for 1 hr"

and no work is being performed under tasks.

What is wrong?

There is no problem on your side.
There are less WU's available compared to the demand.
You might want to use in the tab "Projects" the "Update" function by pointing with the mouse over S@H and using the right mouse. This can force the GUI to make contact with the server earlier then mentioned in the tab "Messages".
