Hi, Even though I have just recently received my AA in Photography does not mean that I have a clue to what's going on with this new SETI/BOINC. Being a "Classic" account SETI@HOME client, I have just last evening downloaded the BOINC software, and installed it. We have just recently also moved from the Southland to the Northwest and had to change our email addresses as we are now listed with a new ISP. The problem is that the Boinc Manager after attempting to concect with -(Batai) which is my new Username, it comes back with "Connection Failed" message. I also have a problem in attempting to get the credits I have with my old 'Classic' account. In closing this plea, the pitiful thing is that I really don't have a clue to what all the lingo means. Well, you sure still know your e mail address and password you used in Seti classic. Then you can use this form to link your classic to your Seti BOINC account. When done, you will see your classic stats in 'your account' - a snapshot of March 2005, that's to say. A final snapshot will be made once Seti classic will be shut down. BTW: There is a 7 digit numer of registered crunchers in Seti classic and a 6 digit number of active crunchers in Seti BOINC. Nobody ever would read an fulfill the request you put in the profile. Use the profile for what it is: Your profile. What is the other prob you write about (connection failed)? When I look at your computer I see that it has received two WUs, so everything should be working? :-)= Greybeard All about BOINC: BOINC-Wiki (by Paul D. Buck) |
