I would not catagorize BOINC as a "BETA" product -- more like "a production product in a continuing state of revision". A subtle difference perhaps, but a difference nontheless ... |

As title really. Chatting with a friend and the topic came up. Can't see any mention one way or another of the site and I just set to wondering. NO the version that most of us run is a "released to the public" version. Berkeley DOES also have a Beta version that SOME people are using but it is NOT used by the general public. Boinc went live a little over a year ago. As stated though it has evolved over the past year and actually is MUCH better than the version put out just one year ago. |
