This number will increase as more migrate from Classic or from other projects. Some do not even know where to post their questions to, or get rude about it. Some are looking for answers before they post, some don't. I may not have all the answers to the problems out there, but I look to find them, and I try the best I provide an answer. In the process I sometimes learn a little more about an area I didn't quite understand so well. Sometimes I get thanks for my help, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I make a new friend in the process, other times they are still grumpy & whining. There are some that are happy with a "link" to a solution. We all bump heads with someone from time to time. But hopefully when you do, it's with someone who can openly communicate their problem and rationally discuss the situation or a solution, or quite simply agree to disagree. I don't like the way that someone can give a - rating of a post and eventually have it filtered out of the thread. Maybe a modification should be made there so that the person wanting to make the - rating had to give a explanation why. When the project is down, I see at least 10 threads about "I can't connect/ul/dl/etc..." All the major "whiners" have something to do then. When the project is up we run into things like this. Most of the time they do not even offer a idea or better solution to the problem at hand, or better yet, they will jump on someone who does and calls them a cheerleader. These people aren't happy and probably never will be unless they can complain about the project or about someone else. I have better things to do with my time, rather than lowering myself to their level, by doing something useful by helping someone who wants to be helped & they in turn might eventually help someone else out. We all have expertise in different areas. Don't let a handful of "helpless" morons get to you. PLONK 'EM!!! (Or rate their post & move on) You can not make everyone happy. I've seen far too many good people, men & women, bullied off of these boards because of their opinions.
