[font='courier, courier new']Hmmm... 10 minutes in and all the press have left the Kennedy Space Center.

Anyone else thinking "typical American short attention span"?[/font]

Check where he's from... an American saying this is a refreshment. ;)

I couldn't stop telling CNN out loud (to my TV) to stop giving out the most negative "what if" scenarios prior to and during the launch...

He goes by NeoAmsterdam, his country is listed as "International". Where am I supposed to see that he's American?

I forgive you. You're European. Those outside that city while in the same country still wouldn't have gotten it. ;)

Anyone else watching Nasa TV?

Who is the girl with the sexy voice who is explaining all these things to us?

Film footage on the news this evening showed material breaking loose from the fuel tank. The news commentator said they don't think it hit the shuttle or caused any damage. Same thing they said 2 1\\2 years ago.

[font='comic sans ms,arial']Seems that way. Apparently STS-114, has a clean bill of health for re-entry, no flawed tiles or surfaces have been seen on the visual scan, but, what that rear view camera revealed, must have made it quite clear that the problem of detaching ET insulation has not been rectified. So the 'fleet'(how many orbiters are still in business?) has been grounded; very sad, but in light of the possibilities (probabilities?) it has to be the right decision.

I love the font tag, there is scope for a serious bit of chaos abusing that, I wonder if that's why it isn't listed in the bb code table when you do a post?
