Has this boinc software been tested? Not too much apparently. My boinc credits have plateaued even tho I'm crunching like crazy on several machines, Uploads are sporadic at best, the software only partially works (a little better on windows than it does on linux), messages are totally confusing, and the interface is clunky. My impression is that it was hurriedly put together to "just get it out". It looks like some cheap MSVC project written by an amateur. I'm really disappointed.
Bring back seti-classic. It worked.

Thank you for your in depth and knowledgeable review of Boinc...Credit, if you would read instead of criticize you would know that the server is having problems.
Boinc works great for me, hummm must be something else that is causing your problem.....

I think Boinc can and will weather your disappointment, without to much trouble, but as a volunteer it is just my opinion as your opinion is yours....

Classic is DEAD.......

Yet another person with problems yet they hide their computers. I run several platforms and hardware and haven't had any problems besides the occational dry spell getting work. I have my cache up at 10 days and I run optimized clients (versus the ones off the site). Maybe those two things could help people out.

Why do people hide their computers anyway?

Joy!

Well, I am since the 26th in Canada, my home being in Belgium.

My host has meanwhile crunched WU's for S@H/Boinc, returned the results, downloaded fresh WU's and this while participating in 4 different projects.

My conclusion is: this software is working like it should, without intervention of my part.

The only thing is for now that the validator is not running. This is the only temporarily problem.
Read the News at the homepage
Have a look at the Technical News
Look if your question is not answered at the Boinc Wiki

Best greetings, Thierry
