It's disgusting but you knew someone had said it...

Pick your nose and eat snot to stay healthy!

Washington, Apr 11(ANI): It may sound weird, but an Austrian doctor believes that picking your nose and eating what you retrieve is one of the best ways to stay healthy.

Dr. Friedrich Bischinger, an Innsbruck-based lung specialist believes that people who pick their noses with their fingers are healthy, happier and probably better in tune with their bodies.

He says society should adopt a new approach to nose-picking and encourage children to take it up.

From April and old news but relevant to the conversation ;)

As it often happens here! And with what topic? Yikes, this is disgusting!

One thing is to pick out what may be stuck up there, but eating it!?!?!?!?

No thanks! Use a tissue, guys! Of paper of course, so it can be throwed away without anybody having to touch it! And loose these cloth handkerchiefs! The paper ones are invented and cheap enough to use!!!

While moving toward the users limit (about 860 users, 100 teams), orbit@home is planning for the week. We will try to fix the "User of the day" problem, and also other issues related to team or users listings (thanks for reporting!). We will start to work on an introduction page and on a FAQ, and on the orbit@home logo. Thanks to Finla and Silvershark for contributing their logo!

Check out the BOINC Synegy website, they have just that. I was so impressed that I joined their team! Account creation is closed in orbit@home. They may have some work in the August - September 2005 time frame.

Orbit@home status update: we didn't manage to fix the few website problems still around, and we didn't write the intro page yet. The main reason for this is that we're using all of our very limited resources to try to get orbit@home funded. This first funding wave will end on July 22. After that, a preliminary application and some work units should be available shortly. The subscription phase ended one week after the orbit@home website launch, and for the alpha phase we can count on 1036 users and about 1400 computers, with about [55% Intel, 43% AMD, 2% PPC], [92% Windows, 6% Linux, 2% Darwin] and [78% 1-CPU, 20% 2-CPUs, 2% 4-CPUs or more].
