Go to that project's website (http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/ for SETI/BOINC) and go to your account page. Set your general preferences regarding disk space usage, min/max work load, and whether or not to run while the computer is in use or running on batteries. Also check your SETI preferences there to make sure they are the way you want them. Then go back to the BOINC GUI, right click on the Project, and select Update. That will make sure your BOINC client gets those preferences updates. If there are any error messages on the Messages tab, report them here and someone can (maybe) help you out. |

The problem is that I the project doesn't appear in the project list when I attach Boinc to it. > Then go back to the BOINC GUI, right click on the Project, and select Update. > That will make sure your BOINC client gets those preferences updates. > If there are any error messages on the Messages tab, report them here and > someone can (maybe) help you out. > > |

Hmm, that's a new one on me. If you go to the project's website (http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/ for SETI/BOINC), can you get to the Your Account page? If not, then they don't think you have an account there. Since you haven't had any work units, your best bet might be to uninstall the software, reboot, and re-install it. Then try to attach to the project again. Be sure you use this URL to attach to SETI/BOINC: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ That's NOT the same as the project website URL! |

> Did it change again while I was sleeping, or did you mean > http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ ? ;) I think you're correct. I cut-and-pasted a bookmark, but it's from a browser I don't normally use. However, both those URLs go to the same exact page. :) The important bit is the scheduler location embedded in an HTML comment at the bottom of the page; both those URLs return a page that contains that same info. So, either one should work, but they did say to use the one WITHOUT ".ssl" in it. |

It looks like there were no WU's available at that time. I could not download any at all at that time also. Meanwhile, WU's can be downloaded again since 12:30 UTC. Greetings from Belgium. |

Thank you all. The 3rd or 4th time I tried it worked and now my computer is getting WU and everything looks normal. |
