Classic better? Not if you weren't around in the beginning. Classic was much the same when it first started.

What's the 'better' part you're missing?

The need for add-ons?
The impossibility to run more than one project at the same time?
The substandard (from a scientific POV) handling of results, that made it easy for cheaters?

Or is it simply the lack of problems, that never ever happened in those good old days (beware of the sarcasm tags;)?

It's the difficult transition period, long awaited and finaly happening, that makes the handling of the servers even more difficult for the understaffed project team. Remember: They have to maintain 2 projects ATM with the manpower for !. Once Classic is finally gone, it will smoothen.
