After spending most of this afternoon trying to understand this thing(I think the classic was friendly-er) I've become stuck at attaching new project. When I enter my URL and account key, Click OK--the box just goes away--nothing happens. What am I waiting for????? Did I do something wrong???? I"m just about to give up and go back to playing "Space invaders" Help me..............Col

Ok you need to make sure you are not entering blank spaces at the front or rear of the URL or the Acct/PW.
Next is that the server may be down or it is so backlogged thAt it is dropping connection so keep trying......

So long Paul, it has been a hell of a ride.

Park your ego's, fire up the computers, Science YES, Credits No.

Does the UI say detached anywhere? If so, the UI is not talking to the daemon.

1) Try a shutdown and restart.
2) If that doesn't work, shut down, run BOINC.exe, wait a couple of minutes and start BOINCMgr.exe.
3) If that doesn't work, try installing as a service.
