I put BOINC 3.19 on my computer and it worked okay considering all the glitches that were occuring. However, once things seemed to get back to normal my BOINC client has stopped recognizing the server. I get the following error message, even after updating to version 3.20: >Cache low-water mark hit; requesting more work >Master file fetch failed >Deferring Communication for 1 days, 16 hours... This is odd because I installed BOINC 3.20 on my other PC and it is running without any flaws. Any help would be appreciated because I'm running out of work. ================================================= There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't. Have you got the right master URL on both? It should be http://setiathome.berkeley.edu if you joined early you may have the setiboinc URL. There have also been posts suggesting other URLs. It may also be a firewall issue I noticed a post somewhere citing NIS incompatabilities with the new version. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |

Thanks I guess I should've realized that NIS was at fault I just forgot that it was there. ================================================= There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't. That's two types, moron. |
