I can't use my classic account name or password when I tried to log in and activate it for BOINC the response is essentially

No such acct

Will my old account be avilable to link to my new one eventually or is it lost? What is happenning?

Your boinc account should be set up. You need to activate it (see home page) and wait for an email that gives you a loooooooong key to use to login.
