can't get BOINC manager to connect

I've had version 4.19 running under SuSE for a while, tried to upgrade to 4.43 today and can't get BOINC manager to run/connect.

running boincmgr gives the following two messages

Connect: Operation now in progress
Nonce not found

and a GUI error message "The password you have provided is incorrecet please try again"

In the BOINC manager GUI attempting to connect a new project with my details just does nothing, no messages, nowt.



Any advice? I'm a Linux noob so it could well be the bleedin' obvious.
