I've been a SETI@home user for a while and have just made the switch to BOINC. Things appear to be going fine, with data being processed. However, I have no idea exactly what is going on (how many work units I have downloaded etc etc)! Is there any documentatioon that gives an overview of BOINC operation...am I the only one who feels in the dark as to the how BOINC funcitons????

You can review the units you have downloaded and processed from the SETI@Home BOIC site under "Your Account". If you scroll down to the "Results" part of your account information page and click "View", it will list out your work units and their status.

As far as other statistics, much of the information you are used to from the old project is done by other groups now. Go to:

http://www.boincstats.com

This is an excellent site that can give you a wealth of personal and aggregate data on all BOINC projects (including SETI).

Hope this helps.

Mark

Mark

Thanks for this. It sort of answers my question, although I was more interested in what is going on on my mac than anything else for now! However, I have pretty well figured out the process and at least I now have an understanding of what happens in terms of unit upload/download etc etc by watching the log entries.

BTW, thanks for the stats URL - at least someone's counting!

Regards

Mark (yep - another Mark honest)!
