When I use 4.25 and watch the processes on the OS X activity monitor it goes to nearly % Nice 100. I can also watch the process from the drop down on the Boinc menu bar. Everything is great.

When I use 4.37 the process goes to nearly 100% Nice except that the moment I enter a keystroke boinc sees that and suspends work. It also assumes that clicking on the boinc drop down menu is a request to suspend work. As a result the current project always shows none and work completed is empty. My question is this a "bug" or a "feature". I much prefered the way 4.25 functioned.

This is behavior by design. =)

4.37 adds the possibility to do any jobs only when your computer is idle after a specific amount of time. Even when the process is running, it wouldn't show up any stats when you're active because it doesn't compute anything. To change that, you must change the corresponding preferences in your account settings.

Could you please be more precised. I can't find the preference you're refering to.
Thanks a lot!

1. log in into your account
2. click on 'View or edit general preferences'
3. at the bottom, click on 'Edit preferences'

depending what you want, change the 'Do work while computer is in use?' setting to 'yes' or 'no'.
