Hi there,

I use normal the option install as service. That work's really well in the Versions 4.35-4.37, all uninstall, reinstall or just an upgrade to the new Version works withoutany reboot.

But these good work, is now away with 4.38, after uninstall 4.38 the Service is just marked for delete, and this work's only during a reboot :-( , but I couldn't reboot any Computer, just for BOINC !

Please recover the good old behaviour!

Thanks Urban

Don't uninstall.

THe installer is supposed to stop the BOINC service and install over the top just fine.

If you don't trsut this. You can run "net stop boinc" at a command prompt before installing BOINC, or you can stop BOINC through the control panel.
