Hi folks, I've noticed all sorts of drama with recent versions fetching extra CPDN WU's, and have gone back to 4.19 to stop it. Can anyone confirm:
(a) which versions do it and which don't, and
(b) whether this behaviour is by design, and if not,
(c) if it will be fixed, or at least the users allowed
to control it.

With very long WU's such as CPDN I really want to be able to say "only one at a time please." I can nearly do that now by keeping the queue short (1.5 days) but if it's going to fetch another one gratuitously then I don't want to know.

As far as i can recall the multiple CPDN WU bug is in versions 4.35, 4.36 and 4.37. I believe it has something to do with the CPU scheduler misbehaving. Unfortunately as widely as the bug has been reported, it hasn't been properly fixed, though attempts have been made.

All the same, an easy work around is to enable the 'No new work' setting for the CPDN project. This is an easy new feature with these CC versions. In fact, I don't know why i didn't enable it sooner lol.
