I have just installed Boinc manager 4.35 on a MAC G5. I have installed SETI 3.08a. When I try to 'ADD NEW PROJECT' in Boinc it keeps telling me I have an invalid account key. I use this key to login into my Boinc account with no problem. Any ideas what i must do to get the Boinc manager to accept the key? |

You must activate your BOINC account, here: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_participate.php Then install and run BOINC V. 4.35. After you get your email from seti, you have to use that password (account key) to make BOINC run properly. Did you open a Terminal window and run BOINC 4.35 from there? To do that, you must "cd" to the directory where BOINC resides, drag the program to the terminal window and press return. Then you have to enter "http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ (return) THEN, finally you put in your Account Key from the Email. Good Luck. I should add that I run Only Boinc V. 4.19. I haven't tried the later versions. Larry LarryB56 |
