The create-a-troll thread. For those of you who cannot seem to get through your day without chasing a demon of some sort, even if it means creating one in order to have some small minded purpose in your life or some place or direction to aim your bile.... Step right up.... Create your demon enemy here. Make your assumptions here. Step right up..... Start a rumor. Make up some accusations. Step right up..... Dont' like someone's politics? Make ad hominem attacks. Show other's how you can 'classify' others. 'Label' someone. Step right up..... Degrade and demean someone. Taunt someone. Direct thinly veiled threats at someone. Step right up.... Don't hesitate to generalize and lump some others together. Be the first.... show your nature. Whatever the hell, drives you... be it pettiness, oafishness, narrow mindedness, prejudice, bias, or jealousness and insecurity.... ....Pay no heed.... step right up. Maybe you won't feel so miserable about yourself if you can just find another target for your own self-loathing. . . . ........step right up. You scour the board daily hoping for your chance...... well, here it is. If you're not the first... you'll wish you were. Step right up... |

Feelin a little paranoid, Paul? > Dont' like someone's politics? Make ad hominem attacks. You have created a thread to do this? Does this mean you are going to stop your ad hominem attacks on me in other threads? > Show other's how you can 'classify' others. > > 'Label' someone. Does this mean you are going to stop trying to "classify" and "label" me in other threads? > Whatever the hell, drives you... be it pettiness, oafishness, narrow > mindedness, prejudice, bias, or jealousness and insecurity.... What a great idea, Paul, if you can just keep your obscene, petty personal attacks in this thread, the Cafe will be a much more pleasant place. |

I don't like what you have done to make all your posts negative (almost all) I particularly didn't like what you did to Byron’s History thread. It was a positive thread from a positive person and you destroyed it. I also don’t like your bantering with Tom Another great guy whom is loved by most of us. I don't like the fact that when you first came on board you weren’t going to crunch anything and we tried to help you crunch BOINC. You could not at the time because of problems beyond your control. Now the problems have been solved and you still don’t want to do it. Although I understand most of your words I don't use the in everyday speech. It is hard enough for English speaking people to understand you let alone Our friends from other countries... So give us all a break Paul and stop. Just quit...Go away....Vamoose...Scram... This is my feelings and you asked for them….. Flame on..... |

> Feelin a little paranoid, Paul? > Not in the least.... I would have bet that you would have been the first to respond. Good enough, ...maybe if I can draw your focus you won't be pestering others here any time you decide to exercise your peevishness. |

> I don't like what you have done to make all your posts negative (almost all) Just a response to stimuli, there tim. Took all the guff I intend to put up with. Push enough and sometimes, there's going to be a push back. > I particularly didn't like what you did to Byron’s History thread. It was a > positive thread from a positive person and you destroyed it. Oh, I see, reporting history should only be 'sugar coated', eh? You only want to be reminded of what you choose to remember, eh? There was nothing disrespectful in my posts in the Day in History threads. Your 'characterization' that I 'destroyed' it is hyperbole, sensationalism... (exageration for effect) >I also don’t like > your bantering with Tom There would be no 'bantering' with tom, without tom's initiative and continueing participation.... It's too bad you don't like it. I won't sit by and idly take his crap. >Another great guy whom is loved by most of us. tom, is a 'great' guy?..... but only loved by 'most' of you? You must have some awareness of some who feel otherwise, eh? ....else, why the qualitative use of the word 'most'. >I don't > like the fact that when you first came on board you weren’t going to crunch > anything Not a true representation of the facts, tim. I came to Seti@home to participate in distributed computing.... There was never a time when I did not intend to 'crunch'. Nice of you to cast another aspersion.... a false accusation ..... a lie. and we tried to help you crunch BOINC. You could not at the time > because of problems beyond your control. Now the problems have been solved and > you still don’t want to do it. > Another mischaracterisation, another lie..... doing good, tim. Old business, I've been over it again and again. I'd pay more attention to your complaints if I saw equal attention being paid to all the other Classic users who are not yet using boinc software. > Although I understand most of your words I don't use the in everyday speech. > It is hard enough for English speaking people to understand you let alone Our > friends from other countries... > As happens with all of us..... from time to time, understanding is difficult because of differences in individuals.... Got another complaint ? > So give us all a break Paul and stop. Just quit...Go > away....Vamoose...Scram... Not likely, tim. As I've stated before, I'm not participating just so I can cater to your needs. Much as some would like, this isn't your personal social club to grant admission to. > This is my feelings and you asked for them….. > Flame on..... Pretending or putting up a false front is no way to go through life, tim. It's good that you decide to be honest with others and with yourself. See ya around. |

> I don't like what you have done to make all your posts negative (almost all) > I particularly didn't like what you did to Byron’s History thread. It was a > positive thread from a positive person and you destroyed it. It was in no way destroyed. Paul posted positive and negative, that's right. And he posted perhaps some truths about american hyporisy, some right wingers like Tom don't like to read. But he posted events worth not to forget. > I also don’t like > your bantering with Tom Another great guy whom is loved by most of us. I tolerate him despite his rightwing bias, as most of the time he doesn't flame. I even find some of his posts quite interesting and fine read. I don't like his personal vendetta against Paul. No way to love him. > I don't like the fact that when you first came on board you weren’t going to crunch > anything and we tried to help you crunch BOINC. You could not at the time > because of problems beyond your control. Now the problems have been solved and > you still don’t want to do it. Never change a running system. AFAIK Paul is an active cruncher. OK, for classic, but from my short experience with Linux, I wouldn't like to change to anything command line. I don't know how classic works, but from what I gathered here it was KISS. > Although I understand most of your words I don't use the in everyday speech. > It is hard enough for English speaking people to understand you let alone Our > friends from other countries... I'm no english speeking person, but english words in their proper meaning, used in the right context, are more easy to read than some geek talk here. > So give us all a break Paul and stop. I agree, I don't like flame wars. So stop flaming, even in an articulate manner. But same goes to the others: Stop flaming Paul! > Just quit...Go away....Vamoose...Scram... No, stay. > This is my feelings and you asked for them….. > Flame on..... I tried not to flame, I hope it doesn't come over as flaming. I just tried to make my pov clear, within the restrictions of my knowledge of your language. Happy crunching, all of you! Gruesse vom Saenger For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki |

I'm appreciative of your willingness to speak up, saenger. I did not come here to flame or to be disruptive and resisted doing that as long as I could stand it. But the constant attacks have pushed me as far as I am willing to be pushed. I will continue to be respectful and act civilly and be courteous to those who afford me the same in return. Thanks again for your point of view.... ( I hope you will not be 'smeared by association' just for expressing your point of view) |

So-called, because it is the nickname of the denizens of the ultra-right wing Web site FreeRepublic.com. Similar to "ditto-head." Also spelled FReeper |

> Also spelled FReeper > We've been over this too, tim. Same subject.... I explained before that I registered that name to deny it to any of the real freeper's who may wish to register it and use it in a hurtful way.... Keep digging if you're looking for something else to 'pin on me' ...... Keep looking for something to make me look bad, tim. (it's easier to ask though, I've demonstrated a willingness to answer your questions.... but for some reason.... innuendo seems to be what you prefer...) |

> So, come on Classicers, join this Forum! > thanks, saenger... As for me, ..I'm am aware of the changes coming and as I've explained before, .....when I get a new operating system, I will attempt the switch. Reading some of the other comments in the other boards, there are a number of people who may not.... something about command line processes and also some concern over not having 'control' over boinc. I don't know enough about how computers work to understand all that, but hopefully all the problems, real or imagined, will be worked out and the Classic crunchers will not be discouraged from continueing to participate in the project. I know when I buy a new OS, I'll be making the attempt to switch..... and probably trying to learn some new stuff just to make things work.... but I will try because I enjoy making whatever contributions as I'm able. |

I could have used laughable but it was to easy. Ahhhh, that's a comprehension problem for you, tim. I never have 'pretended' to be on the 'right' or the left or pretended to be anywhich way. I said I took a favorite 'right wing' name and registered it to deny that alias to any real or imagined wingnut who may have wished to use it.... Look up specious..... that's what your attempts to 'smear' me are. At least as pertains to your vantage point, anyway. |

If you please write this in english again, as I don't hav the faintest idea what you were trying to say with the first sentence. But regarding Classic: What's so hard to understand with this one: We will soon be ramping down these message boards and we highly encourage everybody to start using the BOINC message board system: |
